Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi, marks the birth of Ganesh, the elephant-headed God in Hindu mythology.
10 days, the Festival represents the typical Indian festive madness, with colors, music and dance. It is mainly observed in Maharashtra, Gujarat and South India and falls mostly in the month of Bhadra, from mid August to mid-September, according to the Hindu calendar.
